Star Wars vs. Saul Bass

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z25t-PQDn5A

** Faved from Youtube **
** YouTube url: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=z25t-PQDn5A **
Video Caption from Youtube:
If Star Wars was filmed two decades earlier and Saul Bass did the opening title sequence, it “might” look like this… This was part of a school project. The song is “Machine” by the Buddy Rich Band off the album Big Swing Face (1967). The typeface is called “Hitchcock” by Matt Terich. It seems to be currently unavailable on the web, perhaps due to licensing issues. Note: I’m aware of the errors in the video (spelling, Max Rebo), but I chose to leave them because the video is still enjoyable. This was just for fun and NOT a serious artistic endeavor! Oh, and you MUST watch the video response by brooksy362436. Brilliant!

A DRAMATIC SURPRISE ON A QUIET SQUARE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=316AzLYfAzw

To launch the high quality TV channel TNT in Belgium we placed a big red push button on an average Flemish square of an average Flemish town. A sign with the text “Push to add drama” invited people to use the button. And then we waited… Discover here what happened or visit http://www.tnt-tv.be for more info. TNT. We know drama.

OK Go – Needing/Getting – Official Video

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they’d play the right note no matter where they were struck. For more information and behind-the-scenes footage, see http://bit.ly/z4xRPa and http://www.okgo.net. Many thanks to Chevy for believing in and supporting such an insane and ambitious project, and to Gretsch for providing the guitars. Director: Brian L.
