YouTube Fav: Making a Bladeless Wooden Fan – Scrapwood Challenge ep38

YouTube URL: https://youtu.be/a19OpQfwB2w
Vimeo Description:

This was one of the most fun projects I’ve done!

It involved plenty of problem solving, even before I started making it. I think it came out fabulous as I honestly didn’t know if it would work. Although, I think a more powerful fan would take it further still and maybe I’ll pursue that at a later date.

Thanks to all my Patreons who’ve had input in this one, encouraged me and gave me great advice!

As always I’m happy to answer any questions.

Lyrics:

Verse 1
Shame is a prison as cruel as a grave
Shame is a robber and he’s come to take my name
Love is my redeemer lifting me up from the ground
Love is the power where my freedom song is found

Chorus
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down
When I hear that trumpet sound, I’m gonna rise up out of the ground
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down

Verse 2
Fear is a liar with a smooth and velvet tongue
Fear is a tyrant, he’s always telling me to run
Love is resurrection and love is a trumpet sound
Love is my weapon, I’m gonna take my giants down

Verse 3
There was a battle, a war between death and life
There on a tree the Lamb of God was crucified
He went on down to hell, He took back every key
He rose up as a lion and He’s setting all the captives free

Chorus 2
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
When He heard the trumpet sound, He rose up out of the ground
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down

There ain’t no grave could hold my body down
There ain’t no grave could hold my body down

Bridge
If You walked out of the grave, I’m walkin’ too

Ain’t No Grave

Arbor Skateboards :: James Kelly – Burn It Down by Arbor Collective

By: Arbor Collective
Vimeo URL: https://vimeo.com/106099077
Vimeo Description:

On a rare occasion, you see a video that makes you stop – stop what you’re doing, stop what you’re thinking, even stop how you’re breathing – a video that masters your emotions and alters your vitals. At that moment, when your heart jumps into your throat, and your nerve endings fire, you realize you’re seeing something memorable.

With that we invite you to see a piece we filmed with Arbor team rider, James Kelly, to support the launch of his new pro model. The final product stopped us in our tracks. It reminded us once again why in downhill skating James is called the American Dream. A title he’s been burning down for years with a humble approach and an unmatched intensity at speed.

About James: Born in Petaluma, CA – James grew up riding with some of downhill’s most influential skaters. For years, he’s been showing that there’s no road that can’t be conquered. He has perfected his abilities to skate anything at speed, while building the discipline required to keep calm when the consequences are high. James is no stranger to the racecourse and podium, yet he’s most at home on the hills surrounding his family cabin in the Western Sierras, where this video was filmed.

About the New Model: The new James Kelly Pro Model is the result of years of skating at speed. More hours than can be counted went into the design, refinement, and road testing. The shape reflects the rider, the lines he rides, and serious nature of what he does. The shape has a long wide platform, multiple wheelbase options, and the right amount of rocker. It provides versatility and confidence when approaching speed. Dimensions: length 38.50” – width: 9.75” – wheelbase: 27.00”-30.00”. See the new shape here: http://arborcollective.com/skateboards/products/james-kelly-pro-model/

About Arbor: The Arbor Collective was founded in 1995 and remains a family rooted in the experience and fueled by collaboration with athletes and artists who share a vision for forward thinking design. For more information on the Arbor Collective visit: http://arborcollective.com

YouTube Fav: Russell Brand Achieves Enlightenment While Eating Spicy Wings | Hot Ones

YouTube URL: https://youtu.be/mHTR-XF6MXU
Vimeo Description:

In what may be the greatest tour de force in Hot Ones history, comedian and truthsayer Russell Brand transforms from a spice novice to a full-on capsaicin junkie while facing the wings of death. After bantering with host Sean Evans about everything from visiting Donald Trump’s tower to being a West Ham United super fan, Brand finds that his consciousness is awakened by the hot sauce. Eventually, he’s moved to freestyle an impromptu song for a very special Hot Ones fan. You don’t want to miss this!

YouTube Fav: The Academic – Bear Claws (Live Looper Version)

YouTube URL: https://youtu.be/lO9d-AJai8Q
Vimeo Description:

We created a first-of-its-kind Facebook Live performance of our latest single, “Bear Claws,” using the audio/video time lag to create a mesmerizing visual loop sampler.

Here’s how: We rearranged each instrument on “Bear Claws” to fit Facebook Live’s delay, with each loop getting more complex, adding instruments, rhythms, and melodies. Additionally, by projecting the video live from a soundstage we created an infinite tunnel consisting of all the previously recorded loops.

‘Bear Claws’ is available everywhere now: http://smarturl.it/BearClaws

Vimeo Description:

Flying through the night, while the world beneath us is at sleep, is a pretty common thing as a longhaul pilot. Late evening departures lead to far distant destinations like Singapore, Hong Kong, Sao Paolo or J’burg. Depending on the direction of the flight the crew and the passengers either have a short night up ahead if flying eastbound or almost eternal darkness if headed westwards. During the summer of 2016, We created and directed a video about unsatisfying situations: the frustrating, annoying, disappointing little things of everyday life, that are so painful to live or even to watch.

We quickly realized that there are a lot of other situations that would be fun to see animated, so we decided to run an animation challenge around this idea.
